Dr. D. L. Derrickson Sr., departed this life, August 19, 2020, in Knoxville, TN. For 50 years Dr. Derrickson pastored Rock Temple Church of God in Christ on Maria Ave. in Mechanicsville, which was later named First Church of COGIC. The church is now located on a street named in his honor, at 1954 Donald Lee Derrickson Ave., just off Western Ave, at Sutherland Ave.
