Gilbert Eugene Smith
KNOXVILLE, TN – Gilbert Eugene Smith, born February 23, 1950, passed away March 20, 2020 at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge, TN.
Preceded in death by his mother, Edna Smith Clark, brother, George Smith and sisters, Deborah Ray, Patricia Swift and Elizabeth Smith.
Left to mourn his passing is life partner of over 40 years, Regina Jackson; step-children who he raised as his own, Kimberly Lightfoot and Brandon Smith; brothers, William (Lisa) Faulkner and Gerald Smith (Bertha Robinson); sisters, Wilma Simmons and Sharon (Kenneth) Reeder; devoted niece, Edna “Peaches” Netherland; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Though we all loved him and will miss him dearly, he is now at rest in peace.
