Presidential Candidates’ Representatives to be in Blount County
Blount County Democratic Party to Host Presidential Campaign Representatives for questions, answers, and dialogue. What would you like to know?
ALCOA, TN (February 2020) – Blount County Democratic Party (BCDP) is offering an opportunity for the community to meet officials from top presidential campaigns on , 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, 209 E. Franklin St., Alcoa.
Attendees will have an opportunity to question candidates’ representatives and get information about becoming a campaign volunteer.
Confirmed to attend Thursday’s meeting is campaign officials representing: Sen. Bernie Sanders, Andrew Yang, Mike Bloomberg, Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren. BCDP invited representatives of Sen. Amy Klouchar and Tom Steyer, but as of press time had not confirmed.
Prior to the meeting, at 6 p.m., BCDP will host an informational session for Democrats interested in becoming a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention on July 13-16 in Milwaukee, WI.
All registered Blount County Democrats are encouraged to participate in selecting Tennessee’s delegates at the Blount County Convention, Saturday, March 7, 12 p.m. at the Fort Craig School Building – Boys & Girls Club of Blount County, 520 S. Washington Street, Maryville. At the Blount County Convention, representatives will be selected to attend the District Convention in Knoxville on March 21, where they’ll vote for Tennessee’s DNC Delegates representing the 2nd Congressional District.
