“We have comfort to know that the Lord Himself descended from Heaven, on Sunday morning, September 29, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and dispatched Mother Barbara Ann Blance Prigmore, 85, to her Heavenly home”. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on May 10, 1934, to the Parents of Mr. Grady and Mrs. Mary Ella Boyd Blance, who preceded her in death.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, dedicated her life of faithfulness for many years to her Pastors and Spiritual families, Bishop H. Jenkins Bell, Bishop Felton Matthew Smith, Jr. Grace Tabernacle Christ of God in Christ, and Tabernacle of Faith Church of God in Christ.

She could be found frequently in the church praying, moaning, and crying out to God on behalf of every evil work. She loved to cook and was known for her culinary skills, especially her homemade rolls and Peach cobbler.

He shared that they spent many hours talking and sharing her treasured scripture, Psalms 5:4 and 5. She never entertained gossip or negative communication and would say, “Quietness rules over all evil”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jacqueline Sue Prigmore, Sisters, Jean Norris, Geraldine Johnson Smith, Mary Chandler, and Betty Blance.
