KNOXVILLE (Aug. 3, 2021) – Free Indeed International Ministries (FIIM) in partnership with Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is sponsoring a FREE Community Dental Clinic from 10am to 6pm, this Friday and Saturday, August 6 & 7, at the HR Community Development Center at 4101 Holston Drive in East Knoxville, (near Honey Rock church). Dental services will be provided by licensed Lincoln Memorial University staff.
The dental clinic will be facilitated by LMU Dean Denise Terese-Koch, DDS, FAGD, MBA, and licensed staff members. LMU’s new College of Dental Medicine is slated to open in 2022.
Adults, children and anyone in need are welcomed to attend. This is a free clinic, NO INSURANCE REQUIRED to receive care. Available services include examinations, extractions, and fillings. Cleanings will not be offered due to the surge of the COVID-19 Delta mutation.
All attendees must follow CDC COVID safety guidelines. Mask must be worn and social distancing will be enforced.
Time has been reserved from 3 to 5 pm for walk-ins needing ‘immediate’ attention, as all available appointments have been filled.
This is the first free dentistry clinic at this site. In order to serve more of our uninsured citizens in need, an open invitation is extended to licensed dentists and clinicians to volunteer their services as the program progresses.
