Panama City – Marcus Jones born September 16, 1982 in Panama City, Panama to Cristina Bellamy Jones and Marcus Jones.
Marcus attended Palm Middle School and Moreno Valley High School in Moreno Valley California.
While growing up Marcus was a lover of football. As an adult football became his passion he devoted his time and energy to teaching the sport to the youth.
Marcus loved his four children and he also loved Tennessee, he would call the state the Rocky Top.
He was a great father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will truly be missed by those who knew him.
Marcus departed this life March 16, 2021 at the age of 38;
Marcus was preceded in death by his beautiful grandmother, Millie “Sue” Jones; grandfather, Richard B Jones Sr. and uncle, Cranston L. Jones.
Marcus’ memory will always be cherished by mother, Cristina Bellany Jones and father, Marcus Jones; children, Saniya Millie Jones, Marcella Jones, Marcus Jones and Chance Jones; sister, Lisha Catacutan (Robert); brother, Edward Worthen; nephews; Robert and Isaiah Catacutan, and Quincy T. Worthen; nieces, Aliyana Catacutan, and Phoebie A. Worthen; aunts, Margo E. Waters, Rosalyn; Kelly (West) , Audry J Clements, and Regina L. Jones (Jim) uncles, Richard B. Jones (Valerie) and Reginald Jones (Brenda); special cousins, whom he loved; Rico Jones and Anthony Clements; a host of family and friends.
The Jones family wishes to extend a thank you to each and everyone who came to celebrate the life of Marcus.
Psalm 23:1 – The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. In Jesus’ name we pray.
