Mark Anthony Nolan (age 56)
KNOXVILLE, TN – Mark Anthony Nolan, born March 16, 1965, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2021; one day after celebrating his 56th birthday. Known to never meet a stranger, he was a very social and outgoing person with a big personality. To know Mark was to love Mark! He was a family-oriented person who loved hosting cookouts especially on his favorite holiday, the 4th of July.
Mark attended Austin East High School. He had a passion for fast cars and motorcycles. Reared in the church, he was a member of Cherry Street Church of God where his loving mother and siblings still attend.
Preceded in death by his son, Marquis Nolan, Sr.; daughter, Marshea Nolan; mother, Callie Nolen; father, Jessie Cooper; sisters, Beverly, Linda and Glenda Nolan and brothers, Jessie and Gary Nolan.
Left to cherish his memory: wife, Shanice Nolan; sons, Demarcus, Alex, Damarion and Markel Nolan and Emir Stinnett; daughters, Markquala and Mandrian Nolan, Brandy Eunice and Gethsemane “Pooh” Stewart; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Marquis Jr., Jasir, Demarcus Jr., A.J. Prince, Demarius, Adarius, Khambel, Alex Jr., Heaven, Marshiya, Joquan, Na’lijah and Na’Deirrius; sisters, Cheryl Bennett, Janice (Darryl) Mazon, Karen (Gary) Middlebrook, Lajuan (Marion) Gray and Shermatha (Jamahal) Redmond; brothers, Samuel and Jeffery Nolan; a host of other relatives too numerous to name.
Saturday, March 27, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. at Payne Avenue Baptist Church, 2714 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A private service will follow for immediate family and close friends. Elder Eric Satterfield is the eulogist. Interment at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2400 Berry Road, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 17 (COVID-19).
