Wilma Burum (age 77)
Wilma Jean Burum, of Oak Ridge, departed this earthly life and entered heavenly rest on December 23, 2020 with her family by her side. Wilma was born March 19, 1943 to the union of Clifton and Grace Robinson Burum. Wilma accepted Christ at an early age and always encouraged her family that “THE LORD WILL MAKE A WAY SOME HOW!”
Wilma worked in Oak Ridge for many years as a housekeeper before she retired. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed babysitting for especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Grace Burum; four brothers, William Robinson, James (Jim) Robinson, Carl Burum and Earl Burum; one sister, Edna Knaff.
She leaves to cherish her life and memory: two daughters, Marguerita “Margo” Burum and companion, Orland “Dumbo” Davis of Oak Ridge, TN and Donna (Chris) Marsh of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer) Burum of Powell, TN, Christopher (Amberly) Burum, Eric Burum and Chantell Burum, all of Oak Ridge, TN; eleven great-grandchildren, Xavier Burum, Marcus Green, NaKiya Burum, Aubri Burum, Jaylen Burum, Ra’Niciyana Grate, Ra’Ziya Grate, and Rick Grate Jr.; two special cousins, Julie Coleman of Knoxville and Hazel Arnwine of Oak Ridge; Karon Knaff and his sister, Iesha Lewis are her nephew and niece that were very dear to her; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Robinson of Oliver Springs and Evelyn Robinson of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Saturday, January 2, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. at Little Leaf Baptist Church, 228 E. Tri-County Boulevard, Oliver Springs, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required.
A service will follow for immediate family and close friends. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 17 (COVID-19). Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough. Service will be live-streamed at Facebook.com/ Pug Fuller Video.
