KUB, TVA Community Care Grants for Non-profits Accepting Applications
Knoxville, TN – Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) is partnering with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to double the amount of funding available to local nonprofit organizations through TVA’s Community Care Fund.
TVA’s Community Care Fund has $200,000 available for Knoxville-area non-profit organizations addressing hardships created by the COVID-19 pandemic, and KUB will match that amount for a total of $400,000 available.
“Providing this funding to assist our community is a no-brainer,” KUB President & CEO Gabriel Bolas said. “We appreciate TVA’s commitment to serving our customers in this way, and are proud to partner with them to increase the impact. We have so many nonprofits working to help those facing difficulty from the COVID-19 pandemic, and I can’t wait to see this funding put to work.”
To apply for funding, organizations must:
1.) Have been active and classified 501(c)(3) for a minimum of 12 months and
2.) Be focused on assisting with hardships created by the COVID-19 pandemic in the following areas:
- Community Enrichment
- Diversity & Inclusion
- Education
- Health, Hunger, & Housing
- Workforce Development
