(RESCHEDULED) Sept. 2021 – The Relate and Release Suicide Awareness Night is an outdoor event at the Canvas Can Do Miracles venue at 1218 E. Magnolia Ave. in Knoxville. Due to the projected forecast of 100% rain on Wednesday, Sept. 22, the event is rescheduled for Saturday, Sept 25th, at the same time, 5-8 pm, which includes the “Love Is the Answer Community Showcase.”
A recognition of Suicide Prevention Month on Saturday, Sept. 25th, 5-8 pm., same location, same time, bringing the same love. Doors open at 4 pm. We appreciate your patience and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope to see you there.
Contact Jackie Holloway, Canvas Can Do Miracles Event Center or CJ Jones for more information.
This event is the inspiration of 14-year old CJ Jones, who is on the Canvas Can Do Miracles Youth Violence Intervention Program staff. Jones planned the event to be on the anniversary of the Sept. 22, 2014 suicide death of a local high school student.
CJ’s efforts are to heighten awareness of potential signs, signals from a person who may be in distress and contemplating hurting themselves (or others) before it’s too late.
Canvas Can Do Miracles and Love is the Answer united to support CJ in her effort to make others aware of the subtle signals of someone in distress in order to intervene and possibly save a life.
