Knoxville – Stanley Antonio Freeman Jr “Lil Stan” of Knoxville, TN. The son of Shavalyae Kyle and Stanley Freeman. Born May 21, 2004, a student of Austin East High School, departed this life, February 12, 2021.
Stanley was a determined young man with a contagious smile. He developed a love for fast cars at a very young age, just like his father. They spent a lot of time working on cars and going to the drag racing track. Stanley loved basketball and was working to save his own money for a 392, which was his dream car.
During his high school years, he spent a lot of time with his family, his friends, and maintained a job, where he received employee of the month his third month of employment. Stanley loved playing basketball with his cousin, Desean (Mac) and Markeis (Bo-ski). They would play basketball for hours and bet on who could dunk first. He would often call his aunt Sherika for a good laugh or for his favorite food request, Chicken Alfredo. He also had a special love for his grandmother Darlene, their bond was unbreakable.

He leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Shavalyae Kyle; father, Stanley Freeman; grandmothers, Darlene Ngom (Abdoulaye), Becky Kyle; aunts, Sherika Freeman-Huff (Justin), Tonisha Kyle, Niki Smith; uncle, LeKinte Kyle; sisters, Kiaya, Stanziyae, Ah’Zaria; brothers, Zyquez, Antonio, Samari; cousins, Desean, Shamiya, DeArris, Demarcus, Jaycion, and Shamond.
Special friends Jeweliana, Larry, Keondre; devoted family and friends, Jasama Tyson, Shalanda Carvin, Eric Carvin; and a host of extended family and friends too numerous to name.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Nathan Guy, his family, and everyone who helped share Stanley Jr’s character.
The family will receive friends, 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at OBC Change Center, 203 Harriet Tubman St.; funeral service, 11 a.m., Pastor Daryl Arnold, Officiating.
Interment, Mount Olive Cemetery.
