Arthur Charles Robinson was born July 10, 1942, in Sherman, Alabama to the late Willie C. Moore and Aserine Robinson.
He grew up in Oak Ridge, TN. Arthur Charles was part of the historic “Oak Ridge 85” where black students from the Scarboro Community integrated Oak Ridge High School and Robertsville Junior High.
Arthur Charles joined the U.S. Army and was a member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade. His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.
Arthur Charles passed away at his home on Friday, February 12,2021.
Preceded in death by son, James Cedric Lee Robinson. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Pearl Robinson; children Roger (Missy) Lynch, Twila Robinson-Booker, Charles Jones, Arthur Dwayne Robinson and Renee (Rocky) Stinson; grandchildren Taneathia (Christopher) Favors-Cowels, Douglas (Tameka) Rodgers, Porsche Gordon, Teequanta Lynch, China Lynch, Cameron M. Jones, Chaz Jones, BreAnna Robinson, Cameron D. Robinson, Justyn Robinson, Jada Robinson, Lincoln Pettitt and Kazryne Robinson and several loving great-grandchildren, cousins and extended family.
The body will arrive at Highland View Church of Christ, 10 a.m. Saturday for viewing.
The family will receive friends 1:00-1:30, Saturday, February 20, 2021, Celebration of Life at Highland View Church of Christ, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Rev. Mark Littleton officiating.
Interment, Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. Masks and social distancing will be observed in accordance with Covid-19 recommendations.
