Michael Riddles (age 69)
KNOXVILLE, TN – Michael Riddles, born July 14, 1951, departed this life on Saturday, January 23, 2021, on the same day as his loving mother, Frankie Inez Riddles. He was a graduate of Austin East High School, Class of 1970. Michael was employed with TDOT until a work injury forced retirement after many years of dedicated service.
Michael’s favorite pastimes were watching wrestling with his son, Andre’, nephews, Yancey, Willie Lee, Caleaf and niece, Star; working on old cars and playing numbers. Michael lived his life to the fullest. To all who loved Michael, he surely loved them too.
Preceded in death by his son, Justin Walker Riddles; father, Woodrow Riddles, Sr. and sister, Debra Riddles.
Survived by his beloved son, Andre’ E. Riddles, Sr.; loving grandchildren, Jasmine I. Riddles and Andre’ E. Riddles, II; godson, Mekos C. Reed; brother, Woodrow (Jean) Riddles, Jr. of Warren, OH; sister, Linda Riddles of Knoxville, TN; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends to include Cassie McKenzie, Tommy Wykle Auto Sales staff and the State Burners motorcycle club.
Tuesday, February 2, 2021, a graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at Highland South Cemetery, 9010 W. Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN. Elder William Glanton is the eulogist. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A white dove release will conclude the service. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order #17 (COVID-19).
