Jonah B Caldwell, Jr. (age 25)
KNOXVILLE, TN (UPDATED) – Jonah B. Caldwell Jr, age 25, was called to his heavenly home on January 18, 2021. He was a graduate of Austin-East High School Class of 2013, where he played football as a cornerback. Jonah also attended Pellissippi State Community College. He attended Overcoming Believers Church.
He loved shoes and was a fashionable dresser. He was a jokester and had a personality that all the young ladies loved. Jonah was easily the most outgoing person in any room and could talk with anyone. He would go to great lengths to do anything for the people he loved. J.J. will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Jonah B Caldwell Sr. and grandparents, Hazel Caldwell and Edward Porter Sr.
Left to cherish his memory: mother Shannon “Yudee” Doggett; devoted sister, Sylence Deshay Murphy; maternal grandparents, Grace Ann and Joe W. Doggett; paternal grandparents, Shirley Caldwell and Edward “Bonnie” Bailey Sr.; uncles, Michael Doggett, Edward Bailey, Jr. (BJ) and Antonio “Tony” Caldwell; aunts, Kim (Shannon) Myers, Melissa “Missy” Doggett and Dominique Bailey; cousins, Demar Hester, Brian “Snoop” Doggett, Shami Oquendo and Jaylen Myers; a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends to include his closest friends, Chris Carter and Thomas Cornelius.
Wednesday, January 27, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. at Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Followed by Words of Comfort. Social distancing and face coverings are required. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 17 (COVID-19). Expressions of love may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough.
