Jefferson Wesley Moore (age 82)
KNOXVILLE, TN – Jefferson Wesley Moore entered into eternal rest January 16, 2021 at NHC St. Mary’s nursing home. He was born in Georgia January 31, 1938, to the union of James and Susie Mae Moore.
He is preceded in death by his wife Melissa Moore, son; Jefferson W. Moore, sisters; Stella Moore and Ora Lee Craigmire, brothers; Robert Lee, Johnnie B., Tommy Lee, Jerome, Author, James, and David Moore.
He is survived by daughters; Jessica and Latoya Moore, sons; Donald E. Moore and Jefferson (Lutheria) Grady, grandchildren; Monique L. Simon, Wesley Moore, Amaru Wilson, Laquesta, Lazahria, and LaFayah Grady, great-grandchildren; Ayanna A. Simon, Kimyah and Kymyrah Bragg and Jzyaha Grady, sisters-in-law, Barbara and Janice Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Special thanks to NHC St. Mary’s nursing staff and Dr. Donovan of Tennova North Medical Center, with a very special thanks to his roommate Don Hyder. The family appreciates how you watched out and was attentive to Jefferson, and the many phone calls you made to the family. You were a wonderful roommate.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 5:30 to 6pm at Jarnigan and Son’s chapel with funeral services to follow. Rev. Daniel Phillips officiating.
