James “Jimmy” Mason Sr.
James (Jimmy) Mason Sr. of Knoxville, departed this life on January 21, 2021, at University of Tennessee Hospital. He was the son of the late Samuel and Barbara Jean Jarnigan Mason. He was a member of Shiloh Pentecostal Fellowship Church of God Inc.
Jimmy was in the Austin class of 1966. Retired from U.T. Physical plant as a cabinet maker. His work is displayed in the UT presidential home and throughout the University of Tennessee.
Survivors; Devoted wife, Lisa A. Mason. Children; Yolanda M. Jones, James Mason Jr., Kevin Mason; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Hayes, a host of cousins to include; Treva Jarnigan, Faye Stovall, Tina Jarnigan and Judy Hamilton, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 27, from 5:30-6 pm at Jarnigan’s Chapel with service to follow. Bishop T. L. Glenn officiating.
