Frankie I Riddles (age 100)
KNOXVILLE, TN – Frankie Inez (Lorick) Riddles was born January 10, 1921 in Kussuth, Mississippi to the proud parents of Ed Lorick and Effie Norman. Frankie transitioned from labor to reward on January 23, 2021, en route to the hospital.
Frankie married Woodrow Riddles Sr. and lived in Corinth, MS until the family moved to Knoxville, TN. Frankie was a longtime housewife and later worked as a domestic for several local families. Frankie was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and participated in other ministries. Frankie was a caregiver for CAC for several years and at Abundant Life Child Care Center. She enjoyed playing cards and had a passion for cooking. She loved to be around people and most definitely people loved to be around her. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by those blessed to have known her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Riddles Sr.; daughter, Debra Riddles; son, Michael Riddles and grandson, Justin Walker Riddles. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Woodrow (Jean) Riddles Jr. of Warren, OH; daughter, Linda Riddles of Knoxville,TN; grandchildren, Mike (Lena), Thomas and Troy A. Riddles, Star (Deryk), D. J. and Lexie Smith, Yancey and Andre’ Riddles, Natalie, Willie Lee, Yusuf, Caleaf and Kateena Davis; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a host of other family and friends to include special friends, Daisy Brown, Lauraease Harvey and Leverda Barham.
Tuesday, February 2, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 11-00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at Tabernacle Baptist Church , 2137 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Highland South Cemetery, 9010 W. Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN. Elder William Glanton is the eulogist. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A white dove release will conclude the service. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order #17 (COVID-19).
