Knoxville, TN – Betty Anne Edgeworth Brown entered into eternal life on January 19, 2021. She was born, October 10, 1941, in Pageland, SC to the union of Luke and Maggie Edgeworth.
She married her beloved husband, Charles Brown Sr., on February 26, 1960, in her new hometown of Knoxville, TN, Betty was loved by family and a multitude of friends.
Her life as a military wife provided her with travels around the world and a multitude of experiences, people, and places. She has picked cotton and was an administrative assistant to the Regional Director of The Department of Energy in Oak Ridge.
After her retirement, Betty joined her husband on the open road, driving trucks cross country. Betty lived her life as a dedicated Christian wife, mother, sister, and aunt.
Preceded in death by loving husband of 52 years, Charles Brown Sr., parents, and sister, Willie L. Crowder.
Survived by sons, Charles and Darryl Brown, a host of grandchildren, one great-grandson; brother, Henry Edgeworth, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other families to include her Friendship Missionary Baptist Church family.
The family will receive friends, 9:30-10 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Jarnigan’s Chapel with funeral service at 10 a.m., Rev. Dr. Joe Smith, Officiating. Interment at East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery.
