Angela Marie Walker Prater (age 55)

Angela Marie Walker Prater, “Angie”, passed away Thursday morning on January 7, 2021 at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital Conyers, GA. Angie was born November 27, 1965 in Knoxville TN at UT Hospital.

Graduating from Fulton High, Class of 1984, Angie was very talented and hardworking. She worked for Walgreens for 21 years (October 13, 1999). She will be remembered for her hilarious laugh, big smile, and beautiful personality. She was a very loving mother, cheer mom, dance mom, and best friend. Angie loved her family and friends alike and will be truly missed by everyone.

Preceded in death by her father, James Walker Sr.; grandparents; late husband; aunties; uncles; cousins, and nephew.

Angie is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Ruby Heard of Knoxville, TN and Thelma Heard of Lawrenceville, GA;  grandchildren, Jayda Grady, Kanye Graves, and Kalon Heard; loving mother, Ruby Woods; sisters, Sherry Wynn (Bryant) of Knoxville, TN and Robin McCrear (Gary) of Conyers, GA; brothers, James Walker Jr. of Conyers, GA and Michael Walker of Knoxville, TN; devoted fiancé, Ernest Newton “Bird”; best friend, Teresa Farmer; favorite cousin and friend, Sharon Yarbrough; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Saturday, January 16, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Open Door Church, 2806 Sherman Street, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A private service to follow for immediate family and close friends.  During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 17 (COVID-19). Flowers may be delivered to the church the day of the walkthrough. Service will be live-streamed at Facebook.com/ Pug Fuller Video.
