Baltimore, MD – John Stone departed this life on January 9, 2021, at Future Care- Baltimore, Maryland where he slept away peacefully to go home to be with his heavenly father.
John attended Austin High School, class of 1954 in Knoxville, TN; Howard University, Washington, DC. and retired from Toyota in Baltimore, MD.
Preceded in death by parents Seth and Isabella Stone, wife Hazel Downs Stone, son John K. Stone Jr.; brothers James and William Stone, sister Donella Queener; grandson Gabriel Batts.
Survived by children Theresa, Gary, and Chris of Knoxville, Tn; and Cheryl of California. Grandchildren, Moshonda Whittington-Gaston, Kelan Williamson, Chanel and Jada Stone; great-grandchildren Jerrell Davis, Terrance, and Tiarra Brown, and Donovan Stone; sisters Elizabeth Carter, and Hazel Webb of Knoxville, and Jean Curry. Friends include the Trusdale, Hemphill, Brown, Downs, McKenzie, and the Minor families, and a host of other families and friends.
