Mother Altena Ravizee (age 72)
KNOXVILLE, TN – Altena Ravizee, age 72, of Knoxville TN entered the gates of heaven, December 6, 2020 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital with her loving children by her side. Altena was born March 12, 1948 in Benham, Kentucky to the late Dave and Melvinia Hamilton-Ravizee.
Altena was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Hamilton, Charles Brown and Willie Ravizee; grand-daughter, Armani Robinson.
Altena leaves behind to cherish her memories, beautiful daughters, Michele (Lynn) Clemons, Angela (Mark) Nolan, and Hope Ravizee; brothers, David (Johnnie) Ravizee of Lexington, KY, Jake (Brenda) Ravizee of Lynch, KY, Arthur Ravizee of Mt. Vernon, NY, Walter (Ruby) Ravizee of Cumberland, KY; sisters, Mary Ravizee of Cumberland, KY, Julia (Ricardo) Holts of Cumberland, KY, Shirley Ravizee of Knoxville, TN, Cynthia Ravizee of Lynn, MA; sisters-in-law, Martha Ravizee and Amelia Hamilton, 13 grand-children, 24 great-grandchildren, special children she loved Jessie and Alisha Brabson; special cousin, Ethel Mae Ross; special friends, Emogene Westfield, Frances Wiley, Gerry Gillespie, Sophronia Favors, Anna Emanuel, Doris Roper, Shelby Taylor, Sara Chapman, Deacon Robert Chandler, Sr., Dr. Rhoda Stone, special friends of the Wesley House, her church family Greater Mount Moriah FBH Church, and a large host of family and friends to numerous to mention.
Services will be at North Knoxville Baptist Church, 217 West Oldham, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Saturday, December 12, 2020; Family Visitation, 11:30 AM-noon; funeral service, to follow officiated by Elder Franklin Brown. Social distancing and face masks are required.
