Jimmy Louis Clemons (age 87)

Jimmy Louis Clemons was born December 8, 1933. Our family is sad to announce Jimmy slept peacefully away, Monday, December 28, 2020, at U.T. Hospital after a long battle with dementia.

Retired from the U. S. Navy. He retired to Knoxville, he reared and registered Beagle Hound dogs for years and was a member of Atomic Beagle Club. He coached Little League baseball at (Cotton) Wilson Castle field, Giants and kept the field ready for playing.

Preceded in death by parents, Easley and Mamie Clemons; sister, Vivian Branner; brothers, June, William, Fred and Hubert Clemons.

He leaves to rejoice in his many memories, beloved sister, Eloise Carter; nieces, and caregivers, Karen and Sherry Carter; other nieces, Wilma Branner Davis, Terri Strickland and Jenny Clemons, many other nieces to name, special nephews, Michael, Paul, Bruce and Bryant Carter; many others, many families and friends. We know he is in a better place and he will remain in our hearts.

Open visitation, 2:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2021. The family will receive friends, 2:30-3:00 p.m., Saturday, at Jarnigan’s Chapel; funeral service, 3:00 p.m., Words of Comfort, Rev. Mark Green,

Interment 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier, with Full Military Honors.
