Cedric B Towns (age 48)
Cedric B. Towns, better known as Jinx, gained his wings on Friday, December 11, 2020. Born November 4, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the eldest child of Willie Bell Towns. Jinx was full of life and always fun to be around. He was one that dressed to impress but mostly known for his words of encouragement and uplifting others.
Preceded in death by his mother, Willie Bell Towns; grandfather, Willie Towns; grandmother, Gladys Cale; aunt, Phyllis Macon; uncle, Arthur “Bro” Towns; great-niece, Zyliyah Foust, and cousin, Melvin Towns.
Survived by his children, Decedra Towns, Montoryia Towns, Cedrick Johnson, and Jucorius Towns; stepchildren, Male’Jah Johnson, Niji Chesney, and Onque Clemons; grandchildren, Zoey Garner, Malani Peoples, and Malaki Taylor; sister, Keisha Towns; brother, Tobias Towns (Kyeisha Ligon); aunts, Billie “Sue” Darling and Linda “Lynn” Towns; uncle, Pierce Gross of California; devoted nephews, Joevon Foust, Tobias, Jr. and Dikye’is Towns; mothers of children, Trina Clemons and Kamilah Johnson; a host of cousins, and dear friends to include the Porter family (Knoxville, TN), Towns family (Chicago, IL and Knoxville, TN) and the Austin Homes Community.
Saturday, December 19, 2020, a graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2400 Berry Road, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order #17 (COVID-19). A white dove release will conclude the service.
