KNOXVILLE, TN (Nov. 22, 2020) – Our mission is clear: to ensure a peaceful and secure transition of power, and for Congress, the Electoral College, and Tennessee officials to honor the accurate and final vote count.
Join us on Sunday, Nov. 22nd at 10 a.m. for a brief rally/press conference and motor march through West Knoxville. The route will be announced at the event. We’ll have paint, pens, and poster boards, or you can decorate your car before arriving.
For over 200 years, the
United States Constitution is the world’s longest surviving written charter of government. Its first three words—”We the People”—affirm that the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens. For over two centuries the Constitution has remained in force because its framers wisely separated and balanced governmental powers to safeguard the interests of majority rule and minority rights, of liberty and equality, and of the federal and state governments.
On November 3, 2020, Americans across race, background, gender, and zip codes turned out in record numbers and exercised their constitutional right to vote.
The people elected Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States of America. Efforts to undermine our democracy are unwarranted and have diminished America’s respect among world leaders. “America First” and “MAGA” policies have plunged the greatest nation in the world to a low level of disrespect among world leaders in less than 4 years.
Whether you voted as a Democrat, Republican, or somewhere in between, violence, force, and the abuse of power have no place in a democracy. The election is over and the people have spoken and should be respected.
Let’s hold our local elected officials in Tennessee counties, the State House, Congress, and Senate Representatives accountable to respect the process that put them in office, and to represent the best interest of their constituents over personal financial and political gains.
Wear a mask, practice physical distancing, and obey all traffic laws if participating in the motor march.
Location: Meet at AMC Theaters at 200 N. Peters Rd. Knoxville.
