KNOXVILLE COLLEGE DAY OF GIVING: A Plan to Reopen

On Saturday, September 26, the Knoxville College Alumni Assoc. kicks-off a National Day of Giving. Contributions will be accepted at any time.

WORLDWIDE – Sept. 25, 2020) – This worldwide event is a solicitation to ALL Knoxville College Alumni, friends, family, communities, and partners to donate funds to assist in the continuation of the legacy of HBCU Knoxville College; to educate students.

Business and corporate sponsorships are also welcome and needed.

This is among the first of many future fundraisers to restore buildings on the campus one-by-one. The plan is to first focus on the buildings with the most potential for community use.

The plan is to first restore The Griffin Gymnasium at a rough estimate of $75,000. The gym has the most immediate potential to begin generating income for the college as well as provide an event venue to the community, and to lease for local and visiting sporting events and tournaments.

The gym is surrounded by an open football field, volleyball court, basketball court, and a tennis court. The gym also offers a locker room and showers, the capacity to operate concessions, office space, weight room, and ample parking among many other features to benefit the college and the community at large.

The goal is to raise $750,000. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation towards the restoration of HBCU Knoxville College; a historically black college or university.
