Knox County COVID-19 Free, Walk-up Testing

KNOXVILLE, TN (June 2020) – Walk-up testing is offered at the Knox County Health Department’s main location at 140 Dameron Avenue, 37917, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Advanced notice is no longer required for Coronavirus testing, but wearing masks is requested.
In order to minimize human contact, signage is posted with directions to where to go. Attendance can be high at times, so please bring your patience and prepared to wait if there is a line.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for targeted testing to reach high-risk individuals or those with less access to testing.
Additional testing sites will be made available as determined by the sdfdsfdsfs.
KCHD tests are free; with or without insurance. If you have insurance, there is no cost or copay, but please bring your insurance card. The insurance will be billed to help defray the processing cost of Knox County.
KCHD’s Regional Hospital Coordinator and Emergency Preparedness staff are continuing to assist with testing at area long-term care and assisted living facilities on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Testing for these facilities are scheduled to be completed by June 30.
