When you loose a loved one, you gain an angel.

May 10, 2020 – Once again I was awakened from my restless sleep by pain. My sleep was riddled with memories of her last days. Memories of her eyes wide and words so clear. “I’m scared, wee wee.” My sister and I both laid across the bed with her and whispered sweet words of encouragement as salty tears streamed silently down our faces. Our hearts longing to say, we’re scared too, but never dared.
We watch helplessly as each moment, each minute, each hour called our precious mother from earth to glory. It’s been over a year now but my heart cries out in despair as my mind pleads for rest. As I lay here alone in the dead silence that only night brings once again I feel the now bittersweet tears caress my cheeks for mom went to sleep on this side but woke up in paradise.
Grateful for the physical pain that awakened me sparing me from my unbearable emotional pain. Please, dear Father, comfort me once more and again in only ways that you can.
For those of us whose mothers have passed from earth to glory, especially during this most unfortunate time of the Covid-19 pandemic, I pray that the Lord comfort you. Remember these words in John 16:33, I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace.
