TraShawn Jermaine Booker, (age 22)

TraShawn Jermaine Booker, born November 24, 1997, to Dontrell Booker and Deshawn Ellis, departed this life on April 13, 2020.  TraShawn graduated Austin-East High School Class of 2016.  He was formerly employed by TSI Industrial Inc.  His passion was music; he loved to rap and sing.  Yet, his favorite song was “Never Would’ve Made It” by Marvin Sapp, a gospel song.  TraShawn will be remembered for his smile.  A smile that’s embedded in our minds as our hearts will miss him forever.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Lurana Ellis, Harold and Karen Booker and aunt, Charlene Ogletree.

His memory will remain in the hearts of his children, KeShawna, TraNiya, DaKhameryn and unborn child, DaKhailin; mother, Deshawn (Anthony) Wright; father, Dontrell Booker; brothers, Dontrell and Justin (Tiffany); sisters, DaShjia, Marilyn and Ka’Lesha; niece, Makiya; aunts, Jenell Williams, Angie Saffell and Tiffany Ellis Davis; uncles, Melvin Williams, Jackie and Dewayne (May) Ellis, YoShawn and Harold “Boo Boo” Booker; great aunts, Lisa Booker, Sandra Tipton and Marsha (Lincoln) Barton; great uncles, Cleo (Faye) Ellis and Donnell Booker; devoted cousins, Greg (Charisse) Gillis, Cameron Ellis and LeShell Williams; a host of other family and friends to include Kiara, Teaya, Nicole and Trinity.

The family will assemble at 3421 Bell Green Lane, Knoxville, TN 37918. Thursday, April 23, 2020, a private graveside service will take place at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 with Pastor Dexter D. Mims, Sr.  of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
