Samuel Hamilton
KNOXVILLE, TN – Samuel Washington Hamilton Jr., age 66, made his ascension on Saturday, March 21, 2020, after a long illness.
He was a graduate of Fulton High School, Class of 1972. Sam retired from the City of Knoxville Fire Department. He had a knack for making people laugh. He was an avid lover of all sports and western movies.
Preceded in death by his father, Samuel W. Hamilton, Sr.; grandparents, Wilkes and Helen Mallory, George Iker and Gladys Iker; brothers-in-law, Gerald Woodley and James Timberlake.
Those who will cherish his memory: children, Samuel W. Hamilton, III., LaKietha (Markus) Jackson, LaToya McNabb, Austin and Robert Hamilton, Kevin Gibson, Jr. (step-son); 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
His mother Helen Hamilton of Nashville, TN; sisters Vickie Woodley of Knoxville, TN, Elizabeth Timberlake of Nashville, TN; three nieces, which includes devoted niece, Stephanie Taylor and one nephew; special friends, Alvin Hall and Leroy Penson; a host of cousins and devoted friends.
