Cleveland, TN – Larry Wendell Hickey Sr, 66 years young, was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Pauline Craven and Nathaniel Blair on April 25, 1953. He was a graduate of Cleveland high school.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, The late Rev.Clifford Craven, his sister, Paulette Mee;
brothers, Monroe Hickey-Johnson, Stan Hickey; and his brother-in-law, Ed Wells.
Larry was a member of St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America and was previously employed at M & M MARS.
He was an avid sports fan, and his favorite teams were the New England Patriots & Los Angeles Lakers.
Larry loved fashion and took pride in the way he dressed. He carried a warm, welcoming, infectious smile and he read his bible and spoke God’s word on a daily basis. He enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with others.
Larry most of all loved his family & his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Christopher Thompson of Florida, Larry Wendell Hickey II of LeVerge, Tennessee, Talaferro Hudgins, Solomon (Kyeshia) Williams, Abdul Williams, Alonzo Goode all of Cleveland, Tennessee; grandchildren, Zadarius, Andrew, Bailee, Zoe, Jadarius, Marcus, Kellon & Leah; his sisters, Beverly Wells, Benita Hickey, Phyllis Miller; Annette Blair, Of Cleveland, Tennessee, Vicky Owens, and Felicia Clay of Indianapolis, Indiana, brothers, Andre’ Johnson, Nathaniel Blair Jr., Reginald Constant, Harry Blair, Harvey Blair; All of Cleveland, Tennessee, his aunt, Edna White Cleveland, Tennessee; a host of nephew, nieces; other relatives and friends.
Body may be viewed Saturday, January 4, 2020 from noon until 6 p.m. at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair Street S. E., Cleveland Tennessee. Family will receive friends Sunday, January 5, from 2 p.m. until service time, 3 p.m. at St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, 151 Short Street, Cleveland, TN.
