KCDC to open new affordable housing for seniors
KNOXVILLE (Nov. 19, 2019) Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero will join Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC) Executive Director and CEO Ben Bentley to open the initial units at The Cottages at Clifton, which will provide affordable housing for senior citizens. Elected officials and KCDC’s board will also participate in the ceremonial ribbon-cutting.
The event takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 1:30 p.m. at 430 Clifton Road.
The Cottages at Clifton, located along Clifton Road near the intersection of Western Avenue and Interstate 640, will provide 53 single-level housing units in 25 duplexes and three single-family homes. Eligible residents at the new development are ages 62 or older.
The Cottages at Clifton is a new KCDC development and features duplexes and single-family homes built by Clayton at its manufacturing facility in Rutledge.
