Public Meeting, Police Advisory & Review Committee

The Police Advisory & Review Committee members, PARC  neighborhood leaders, and residents are invited to attend.

The City of Knoxville Police Advisory & Review Committee (PARC) will hold its third-quarter meeting Wednesday, Oct. 23, 6 p.m. in the City-County Building Small Assembly Room.

At the meeting, PARC members Executive Director Clarence Vaughn, Knoxville Police Department Chief Eve Thomas, Deputy Law Director Ronald Mills, and KPD officers, will address cases received by the Internal Affairs Unit since the last report made in July.

Chief Thomas will share information regarding the features and functions of Body Worn Cameras.

The meeting agenda also includes committee business, speakers who have requested to address the committee, and an open forum (limited to three minutes per speaker). To sign up to speak, contact Ola Blackmon-McBride at 865-215-3966.

Established in 1998 to provide an independent review of police activity and make recommendations to the Chief of Police, PARC is the longest continuously running citizen-run police advisory board in Tennessee.
