(KNOXVILLE, TN) – Sareeta Tawain Morgan peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on August 5, 2019, in Knoxville, TN.
Sareeta was born on June 4, 1975 in Farmington Hills, Michigan She was the oldest of four siblings to Ms. Toby Dial (Reginald), and Clayborn Beverly II. ..
She resided in Detroit Michigan before moving to Birmingham, Alabama in 2018. Sareeta graduated from Catherine Ferguson Academy in Detroit, Michigan and attended Pellississippi State in Knoxville, Tennessee. She joined the U.S. Army in 1993 and was trained as a Wire Systems Installer.
Sareeta earned many Military awards: Including Army Lapel Buttons, Army Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal/Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Sharpshooter Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar. She was also a member of the Army Reserve. After her honorary discharge from the service, she worked in the retail and food industry.
Words from her daughter Brittany “She loved her grandbabies; she was army strong and tough on the outside but sweet and loving on the inside. She was able to find joy in the simple things of life. She never asked for much and was easy to please. She wanted to travel, take up photography and real estate.”
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Elberta and Albert Orr and her paternal grandparents Frances Coleman and Clayborn Beverly.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving daughter Brittany Morgan, two grandchildren Danielle Morgan and Jaylin Morgan. Sisters: LaTrina Schneider and Rahsheen Kidwell (Willis), Brothers: Laval Brown, Julian Poole, Clayborn Beverly III (Brittany), Anthony Beverly (Paula), Malcolm Beverly and Isiah Beverly. Aunts: Joyce Kidd, Christy Winston (Freddie), Denise Baily, Stacey Beverly, Carmilli Coleman and D’Shahn Coleman. Uncles: Nelson Orr and Mark Jackson (Cheree), Special family Robert Sloan (Earnestine) and many other family members and devoted friends too numerous to include.
Saturday, August 17, 2019, the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with service to follow at Oak Valley Baptist Church, 194 Hampton Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Reverend Derrick Hammond officiating. The service will conclude with military honors. As requested by the family, there will be a private interment.
