James M. Wright
Knoxville – James M. Wright “Jim Puney” passed away, June 27, 2019 at Tennova North Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
Jim was born June 20, 1923. He is a graduate of Austin High School Class of 1937; retired from Tennessee Valley Authority. Member of Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church.
Preceded in death by parents, Samuel E. and Frances Cornelia Wright; wife, Larue Wright, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Survivors include his caregivers nephew and niece, Greg (Darlene) Freeman, and Brenda Page and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Family will receive friends, 1-2 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Jarnigan’s Chapel, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37914; funeral services at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. John A. Butler officiating.
Interment will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, at Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery, Lyons View Pike. Arrangements by JARNIGAN & SON MORTUARY
