Here we are at the Key Room at Vine Middle School when I presented a check from the Scripps Howard Foundation to Hana Sherman for the Clarence Brown Theater’s “Shakespeare in Shades” program for rising 6th graders. Those in the Key Room Wednesday were CBT mentors and others getting training before they start working with the students. Pictured from left are Elizabeth Clark, Hana Sherman, McKinley Merritt, News Sentinel retiree Georgiana Vines, Rebecca Dudash, Lauren Andrejko, Julia Stark and Derrick Washington. The Foundation supports retirees/employees for their volunteerism with nonprofits. Hana is CBT’s grants coordinator, who helped me with the grant application.
