Student Singers Compete, CTE Live Today on Market Square
Knox County Schools will host the “CTE Goes Live” singing competition 7-9 pm, today, May 3, on the Market Square Stage. Students representing 15 high schools will compete for the grand prize: a trip to Nash10 Studios, in Nashville, to produce a radio-ready song.
The televised event will be produced by students in the KCS Career & Technical Education program, who will provide services in social media and marketing; website promotion; radio and television broadcasting; design and production of posters and flyers; photography and promotional images; job shadowing with the Knoxville Police Department; cosmetology for contestants; and stage setup and teardown.
“CTE Goes Live” is sponsored by Toyota Knoxville and Lexus of Knoxville. Stellar Visions and Sound is the sound and lighting sponsor and M&M Productions is the production sponsor.
