Betty Holmes Mason departed this life, Saturday, May 11, 2019 after a lingering illness.
She was a retired Chicago Public Schools teacher.
Betty was a dear friend to many and her high spirit is sorely missed.
Preceded in death by parents, Arthur, Sr. and Grace Holmes.
Survived by brother, Maj Gen Retired Arthur ( Wilma) Holmes Jr.; nieces, Deborah (Robert) and Sharon (Ken); grandniece, Nina, grandnephew, Jarryd, and many cousins.
Family will receive friends, 5:00-5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church, 546 College St., Knoxville; Celebration of Life, 5:30 p.m., Rev. John Butler, Officiating.
