With less than eight months left in her second and final term, Mayor Rogero will present her final annual State of the City Address and proposed 2019-20 budget to City Council members and the public on Friday, April 26, 2019, at noon. The site will be at the end of James White Parkway – where construction of a $10 million Urban Wilderness Gateway Park will soon be getting underway.
The proposed budget will have a continued focus on providing quality, efficient City services while also strategically investing to grow Knoxville’s economy, strengthen its neighborhoods, and increase the quality of life in our city.
To RSVP, please call the City’s 3-1-1 line by April 19, or call 865-215-4311.
Parking at the event site is very limited. Attendees will need to park at one of the three City-owned Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum (KCAC) garages and ride a KAT shuttle bus to the event. KAT buses will run continuously beginning at 11 a.m., and staff will be on-site to assist. Parking and the shuttle bus will be free for the event.
There is accessible parking in the lower level of Garage C, next to the Mary Costa Plaza (accessed from Historic Preservation Drive). There are also 12 accessible spaces located in a surface lot off of Howard Baker Jr. Avenue, across from Garage B.
A brown bag lunch will be provided. Please wear comfortable shoes.
