Knoxville, TN – Edlin U. Vernon, 89, originally from the country of Belize, passed away peacefully at Beverly Park Place Health & Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in Knoxville, TN.
Edlin was a member of North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Knoxville, TN.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosaline Vernon; wife, Nedda Allen Vernon; close brother-in-law, Aaron Allen, Sr.; and other Allen siblings and children; devoted niece and care-giver, Tracey Mostella; and in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins to include the Allen, Floyd, Warren, Tuggle, Daniels and Fannin families.
Edlin is survived by his sons: Edward and Goldburn Vernon, Rafael (Sarah) and Refeno Cato [of Miami FL]; brothers and sisters: Orvin and Ellis Vernon, Linda, Geraldine, George & Emmett Furtune and Darrel Bell; sister-in-law, Barbara Allen; nephew and care-giver, Ray Mostella; nephew, Michael (Rose) Allen; niece, Naomi Kemp; family friend, Linda Tetteh, who assisted the family with his care; cousin, Jewell Fannin; the Mostella, Fields, Daniels and Tuggle families; other family members, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends too numerous to name in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Maryland and Belize.
The Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 6 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 6201 Primus Road. Arrangements made with integrity by Unity Mortuary.
