Knoxville, TN – Willie G. Jordan, 65, born October 31, 1953, took flight over the Rainbow to meet his Lord, March 16, 2019 at Beverly Park Rehab.
Faithful member of Peace and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in the Male Chorus and was called Lil Al due to his ability to sing and sound like Al Green and James Brown.
Prior to moving his membership to Peace and Goodwill, he was a faithful member of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church as a child and adult before he left Knoxville.
Preceded in death by mother, Laura Freeman; sisters, Alfredda Jordan and Vivian Freeman; nephew, Dermaine Freeman.
Survived by son, Aaron McCullough; brothers, Rev. John (Diane) Jordan, James Jordan, Rev. Rickey (Constance) Freeman; sisters, Thelma Simmons, Tina Robinson, Margarette Blair, Candies Miller and Diann Moulden; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to name to include the Mitchell, Oglesby, McClure, Blair, and Dotson families and the Peace and Goodwill Church family.
Our family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of the UT Hospice Team, Charlotte Taylor, and Beverly Park Rehab.
Visitation with the family is now at the home of Rev. John and Diane Jordan, 2140 Dandridge Ave. 37915.
Family will receive friends, 2:00-2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Peace and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church; Homegoing Celebration, 2:30 p.m., Rev. Rickey Freeman, Officiating, Rev. John B. Jordan, Eulogist.
Interment Mount Olive Cemetery.
