Campaign Kickoff for 3 Council Candidates
The 2019 City Council Movement will host a joint Campaign Kickoff for 3 of the candidates vying for City Council at large seats from 5 – 7 pm, Friday, March 29, at The Concourse at 944 Blackstock Ave. near downtown Knoxville.
The kick-off program will offer insights into the candidates and entertainment from some local artists. Childcare will be provided from 5-7 p.m.
This is a power-packed community 3-for-1 event. The first session from 5-7 pm, will take care of business with introductions and a word from the three CCM supported candidates for City Council-at-Large: David Hayes for Seat B, Amelia Parker for Seat C; and Charles Al-Bawi who is running to represent Dist. 5 on City Council. A few prominent community members will speak, followed by performances by local artists.
The second segment of this event is from 7-9 pm, will feature FRVR and Open Mic artists in an After Party. Additional performers can pre-register at Instagram @FRVRRecordings.
At 9 pm, the Concourse will resume its regular schedule with the monthly Rewind dance party (https://www.facebook.com/events/966456416880832/). Everyone is welcome to stay and dance the night away.
