Alice Janet Green

Knoxville, TN – Alice Janet Green, age 65, of Knoxville, passed peacefully Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the comfort of her home. Alice was born to Pless and Alma Carter on January 17, 1954. She met her beloved husband Chester (Jake) Green in 1971 and then married on December 4, 1975. Jake and Alice dedicated their lives to serve Jehovah on November 17, 1977. Alice was known for

sharing many bible truths with any and all that would listen for over forty years.

Alice was preceded in death by her father James Pless Carter; stepfather Coach George Lennon; and sister Margaret Carter.

She is survived by her husband, Chester (Jake) Green; son, Nakia (Esther) Green; daughter, Summer Green; mother, Alma Lennon; sisters: Reni Carter and Kimberly Carter; brothers: Kevin Carter and Stanley Carter; and niece, Stephanie Carter. She leaves behind a loving congregation and an host of

brothers and sisters around the world. She’ll be remembered for her loving care of others.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 6pm-7pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1702 Harris Rd, Knoxville, with the Memorial Service to follow at 7pm.
