(Knoxville, TN) Infant baby, Taniya Mattress passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 25, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tawaud Mattress, Jr.; great-grandfather, Robert Mattress, Jr.; great-grandaunt, Shelia Hooker. She is survived by father, Tawaud Mattress, Sr.; mother, Gekiya Hackler; grandparents, George (Brenda) Hackler, Jr., Fran Mattress; great-grandparents, Patricia Mattress, Mary DuBose and George (Earnestine) Hackler, Sr.; 3 aunts; 4 uncles; many other relatives and friends too numerous to name. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM with funeral services to follow on Wednesday, December 5, in the Chapel at Unity Mortuary with Elder John Underwood Officiating and Reverend Harold Smith Eulogist. Interment to follow at Mt Olive Cemetery Berry Road, Knoxville. Services to conclude with a full dove release. Arrangements with integrity by UNITY MORTUARY.
