George LaVaughn Wyatt

(Knoxville, TN) George LaVaughn Wyatt, 77, of Knoxville, TN, passed away, November 30, 2018 at his home. He was the sixth child of the late Johnny B. and Lee Opold Wyatt. A graduate of Austin High School class of 1959 and of Knoxville College. He was a member of Lomax Temple AME Zion Church.

Survived by wife Judith Kitchen Wyatt; sons, Norris and Guyus Wyatt; daughters, Vanessa Mckibben, Nikkiah (Jeffery) Smith; brother, David (Keira) Wyatt; sisters, Janet Wyatt and Claretta Gillenwaters; brothers-in-law, Douglas (Connie), Larry, and Marvin Kitchen; sister-in-law, Chary (Sam) Thompson; grandchildren, Cortney (Keeva) McKibben, Cecily and Carmen McKibben, Cheyenne and Zaria Smith; great-grandchildren, Kailyn and Kiley McKibben; many wonderful nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 11-noon, Thursday, December 6, funeral service begin noon at Lomax Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, 3220 Sherman St. Knoxville, TN 37921, Rev. Marc Green officiating.
