In Memory of Alan Emanual Johnson

Acts of Kindness Creates Hearts from Hurt

Alan Johnson, 6-10- 1996 – 12-10- 2015

Dec. 10th marks the 3rd annual celebration of the life of Alan Johnson who was only 19-years old when he became a victim of a senseless act of gun violence.

The Johnson family and friends celebrate have celebrated his life with a public request for “Act of Kindness.” In the first year, posts were received from across America and abroad.

#1 Help someone with an act of kindness and share Alan’s story.  Ask them to pay it forward by helping someone else in whatever way that they can. Some suggestions are: pay for the purchase of the person in line in-front-of or behind you; help an elderly or person you see in immediate need; visit the sick and shut-in; make a charitable donation in Alan’s name; volunteer with a non-profit or neighbor in need.

#2 Share your good deed on Instagram or Facebook at #loveforalanjohnson. The goodness encouraged in Alan’s memory helps to console his friends and family, and is an inspiration to so many others. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21.
